Yellowjackets is a longstanding, influential Grammy® Award-winning contemporary jazz group that formed in 1977 and first signed to Warner Bros. Yellowjackets’ music has taken many unexpected twists and turns over the years and they have evolved and matured considerably across their 20+ releases. While the band is touring in support of its 2016 release Cohearance on Mack Avenue Records, this special PDX Jazz Festival engagement will also feature selections from Yellowjackets’ Grammy® Award-nominated and critically acclaimed 2008 record Lifecycle where they will be joined onstage by guitarist Mike Stern for the first time in nearly a decade.
